I'm a Proud Grandpa for the 6th Time

I became a proud grandfather for the 6th time on January 30, 2009 at 7:53am. Please allow me to present my new grandaughter. Her name is Nova. Ain't she a beauty?

Will You Know My Name, If I See You In Heaven

My little friend Buster had a massive stroke yesterday and went completely blind. I rushed him to the veterinarian when I realized something was wrong. The vet told me nothing could be done and that he could either die in the next few days or possibly recover in a few weeks. We were not so lucky.

I was holding him in my arms after I got home from work yesterday and he turned his head toward me, took one last breath and died in my arms.

The poor little guy was a dog I got from a Yorkie rescue down here. He was a puppy mill dog with multiple genetic defects. I got him when he was 1 year old. He was 4 years old when he passed away last night.

Please people, when you decide you want a pet of any kind, go to a rescue or to a reputable breeder. Let's stop supporting all these shitty corporate pet shops and these little mom and pop pet shops that buy their animals from puppy mills and other disreputable breeders that only care about the almighty dollar and could care less about the animals they harm.

My dogs are like my children to me and I am truly heart broken right now. If you believe in a higher power, please say a short prayer for my little buddy's soul.
